Dahabeya Princess Donia Posted by: bassem at 03:49, December 15 2012. Many thanks to the previous contributor who set our minds at ease to book the Princess Donia. The booking process is a bit of a leap of faith with paying in full prior to seeing the boat and paying a representative in your hotel lobby in Cairo. However, that aside all that has been previously written is totally correct. Excellent food, friendly and competant staff with a beautiful environment. A quiet respite from the craziness of Cairo and the oppressive heat while at the tombs.A special thanks to Hassan our captain who made sure that we were in good hands whenever off the boat, a true professional. Also to Khalil and Mohammad who served and cooked for us delicious meals and to the rest of the staff who made our cruise a truely memorable experience.

If anyone considering booking a trip to Egypt with Oriental tours Egypt I didn't find many testimonials at the time of my research to prepare this trip so I wanted to write a quick review to reassure other who might consider this company. My husband and I spent 3 weeks in Egypt in October and everything went great. Sayed from their office is very easy to deal with, very responsive and accomodating. Once in Egypt, everything went very smoothly. All the pick ups at the airport and hotels were on time, the hotels were nice as expected (they even upgraded us in Aswan to the Movenpick), the guides ranged from good to excellent (I would highly recommend Ismael who was our guide from Luxor to Aswan- he was really wonderful), and the cruise on the Dahabeya Judi was memorable. There were very few tourists while we were there, which is obviously terrible for the economy of the country but we felt pretty safe and enjoyed the fact we could take pictures of temples and other sites without tourists! Also, we were only 6 guests on the Dahabeya and felt we had chartered the boat for ourselves. A really wonderful experience withouth any hiccups thanks to Oriental Tours Egypt.
